A layout drawing for a licensed venue
The plans to be filed with the NSW Liquor and Gaming in support of a Licensing Application must meet the standards that have been imposed by Liquor and Gaming.
The minimum standards are: -
They must be in A4 size.
They must include the name and address of the Premises.
They must show any streets or cross streets.
If there are different levels to the Premises, then each level must be labelled (e.g. ground floor, first floor etc).
The internal parts of the Premises must be labelled (e.g. kitchen, amenities, gaming room, TAB, lounge, bistro, bar areas, function room, office, etc).
If there is an outdoor space to be included in the licensed area, then it must also be illustrated on the plan. Further, markings should be included how that space will be physically defined (e.g. café style barriers, shrubs, plants, planter boxes, awnings etc).
If there is more than one page to the plans, then each page must be numbered (e.g. page 1 of 3).
Each page to the plans must include a key or legend that corresponds with the areas that are applicable to your Application. As an example only: -
- The existing licensed area (if applicable) should be outlined in blue.
- The proposed licensed area (if applicable) should be outlined in red.
- Any existing authorisations should be identified in a separate colour.
- Any proposed authorisations, or any variation to an existing authorisation, should be identified in a separate colour.
If the plan does not meet the above minimum standards, then the applicant will be required to resubmit the plan.
The NSW Liquor and Gaming has released a Fact sheet FS3127, titled “How to submit a floor plan with a liquor licensing application”. If you require additional information how to mark up your plan then you can download the Fact Sheet here.
