Liquor Act Review Reforms.

The Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (OLGR) recently held a stakeholder forum on the Liquor Act Review Reforms.  The presentation can be reviewed here.

The reforms strengthen liquor harm minimisation laws, improve community and stakeholder participation in the liquor regulatory system and promote transparent decision making.  The new laws are contained in the Liquor Legislation Amendment (Statutory Review) Act 2014, which implements commitments from the NSW Government response to the five-year statutory review of the Liquor Act 2007 and the Gaming and Liquor Administration Act 2007.  The new measures will be implemented over three stages; namely on 1 December 2014; 15 December 2014; and with the last measures becoming law on 1 March 2015.  For further details please see http://enews.olgr.nsw.gov.au/link/id/zzzz5476b458581b6511Pzzzz530c07a8a5926737/page.html#zzzz54727886a6698698
