The NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority has recently granted a Restaurant Licence to Barrio in Byron Bay’s newly developed Habitat community. Barrio is the brain-child of Tristan and Kassia Grier (Harvest and Sparrow Coffee) who have teamed up with Dan Wyllie (Flinders Lane and Saxon + Parole) and Argentinian chef Francisco Smoje (Francisco’s Table). With some of the biggest names in Australian hospitality behind Barrio, you can safely assume that Barrio promises to be a culinary experience not worth missing.
Renowned chef Francisco Smoje has created a range of share-style dishes which pay respects to the culinary traditions of Argentina whilst also paying homage to his new home in Australia. Smoje’s bold, flavour packed creations are built under the ethos of ‘conscious eating’ meaning the kitchen doesn’t waste any part of their produce, which is all sourced from the surrounding hinterland area. With this in mind the team at Barrio has crafted a drinks menu which complements their range of fresh and wholesome cuisine perfectly.
