Back Schwartz Vaughan (Lawyers) are delighted for the recent opportunity to provide specialist legal advice by assisting the Woolworths Group Limited (Woolworths) in the stage 1 separation of its liquor licensing assets in NSW from its core food and everyday needs markets. The separation of assets formally took place in early February 2020, and at that time the business owner of all NSW liquor licences were transferred from Woolworths to the Endeavour Group Limited (Endeavour). Endeavour is a company whose business interests were also merged with the ALH Group in February 2020. Consequently, as at early February 2020, Endeavour took on the role of business owner of almost 480 NSW liquor licences.
