The experienced team at BSV are delighted to have assisted Marc and his team at the Crown & Emperor Hotel at 220 Marrickville Road, Marrickville with successfully extending their trading hours.
The BSV team prepared a detailed Category B Community Impact Statement to support the approval of the Application before the NSW IL&GA. The CIS considered both liquor and gaming related impacts, and the positive and negative impacts that were likely to flow from those activities over the extended trading hours.
The IL&GA was satisfied, for the purposes of section 48(5) of the Act, that the overall social impact of granting the longer trading hours would not be detrimental to the well-being of the local community. Therefore, and despite the opposing submissions, it granted the Application pursuant to section 49(2) of the Act. The approval of the Application allows the hotel to stay open to 2.00am the following day on Thursday to Saturday and until 12 Midnight on Sunday.
