Tony Schwartz, Director of BSV and author of McDonald’s Licensing and Gaming Laws NSW, returns as the Chair of the 19th annual Liquor and Gaming Roundtable in 2023. Held on 24 March 2023, the year’s seminar will include a Gambling Regulatory Update detailing key remediation action taken by each of Crown and The Star, and recent legislative and regulatory changes implemented to address each of the Report’s outcomes. It will also detail the impact of other recent changes on other gambling venue operators, with a focus on increased harm minimisation measures and the way forward for gaming machine operators with regard to several initiatives by Clubs NSW surrounding gaming risk. The seminar will also cover property and licensing issues in the liquor and gaming context, particularly for due diligence and licence transfers, as well as provide guide to property leases and gaming machine entitlement transactions.
