The BSV team are pleased to have assisted Paul and his team on the approval of their small bar licence at 27 Albion Street, Surry Hills. The small bar (to be known as 4 Donkey) replaces an on-premises licence in the same location. The small bar is authorised to sell alcohol between 12 noon and 12 midnight, 7 days a week. The approval provides additional choice for Surry Hills locals and visitors, where they can enjoy a drink in a bar type setting.
The work undertaken by the BSV team included the preparation and lodgement with the NSW Liquor and Gaming of the more complex Category B Community Impact Statement (CIS). The BSV team recommend future operators of small bars to obtain sound legal advice, at every step of the process, so that the CIS process (which is costly and can delay the issue of the licence) can be avoided.
