An IRA permits the sale and supply of liquor to patrons on the premises until the application for an on-premises (restaurant) licence is determined by NSW Liquor & Gaming. Businesses should be aware that if their community consultation took place as part of their Development Application (DA) process, then the option to apply for an IRA is made available to them.
An IRA is a useful licensing solution for businesses that have met their community consultation requirements during their DA process and it permits the business to sell liquor while their on-premises (restaurant) licence is being processed.
